At Wit’s End is
being planned as a full national tour playing small and medium theatres (200 to
1200 seats). Mr. Farrell will be
playing a full grand piano with microphone support for both the piano and
himself.
Depending upon
the size of the theatre, there will be one to three giant LCD flat
screen monitors that will run a compilation of clips of Oscar Levant
throughout his performance years.
The presentation will include clips from the Jack Paar Show,
television interviews, concert performances (some filmed), acting clips
from various movies and information to familiarize the audience with
Levant’s extraordinary career.
A sound support
system will also be incorporated and provided by the venue.
The attraction
to At Wit's End will no doubt be the music, especially George Gershwin's
Rhapsody in Blue, which is played at the end of the second act.
At Wit’s End is
a simple production to present and, therefore, can be run in most
traditional and non-traditional venues.
This is a perfect production for a cruise ship line, LORT
Theatres, dinner theatres, college theatres, hotels and convention
venues.
